Frequentis DFS Aerosense has been awarded a contract to install a virtual tower validation system at Munich Airport, following an international tender. The initial phase of the project will determine whether larger airports such as Munich are suitable for a virtual tower system from an operational and technical perspective, with the evaluation to be carried out in 2025. Subsequent specific use cases will then be defined.
