RTX’s subsidiary Collins Aerospace has delivered its first set of seats produced at its Tanauan City, Philippines facility to Airbus. The seats are destined for an airline customer’s narrowbody programme. “Adding main cabin seating to our Philippines facility is a crucial milestone in the future of Collins’ seating business,” said Christophe Blanc, vice president and general manager of aircraft seating for Collins Aerospace. The factory’s seating assembly capacity is expected to triple throughout 2024, with deliveries to 14 separate customers including multiple OEM linefits and several retrofit locations.
