The total passenger traffic globally as of June 2023, measured in revenue passenger kilometres or RPKs rose 31.0% compared to June 2022 according to the recent data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Globally, traffic is now at 94.2% of pre-COVID levels, in the first half of 2023, total traffic was up 47.2% compared to the year-ago period, the report reveals. Domestic traffic for June rose 27.2% compared to the same month a year ago and was 5.1% above the June 2019 results. Domestic demand was up 33.3% in the 2023 first half compared to a year ago.
