The Lufthansa Group is to collaborate with Airbus on the pre-purchase of carbon removal credits for 40,000 tonnes of CO2, to be filtered from the air over four years using the Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage method. The carbon removal credits will be issued by Airbus through its Airbus Carbon Capture Offer (ACCO) service.
