Japan Airlines has launched a new ‘Corporate SAF Program’ which will aim to certify the environmental value of the carbon dioxide reduction achieved through the use of sustainable aviation fuel on board its flights. Whilst the airline has been working on reducing its direct (scope 1) and indirect (scope 2) emissions, the new programme will also contribute to the reduction of scope 3 emissions (produced by other companies related to JAL’s own activities) for corporate customers.
