Malaysian airline AirAsia X’s passenger numbers increased to 959,623 in the first quarter of the year, nearly doubling from 504,476 passengers in the first quarter of 2023. In its preliminary first quarter operating statistics, it also revealed that its load factor was up three percentage points to 83%. Its available seat kilometres (ASKs) were up from 2.9bn to 5bn YoY, while its revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) were up from 2.3bn to 4.1bn YoY.
