According to a report in Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Pakistan International Airlines is being investigated for allegations it flew an aircraft from Karachi to Saudi Arabia with people standing in the aisle all the way after staff boarded extra passengers. The report describes the 777 aircraft bound for Media, carrying 416 passengers, despite the fact it was only allowed to seat 409 passengers. The report quote a PIA spokesperson denying passengers were standing but confirming an investigation was underway.
