Airways New Zealand and air traffic controller union NZALPA have signed a strategic partnership outlining their relationship through to 2033. NZALPA represents all 372 air traffic controllers employed by Airways New Zealand. A key component of the memorandum of understanding is to define an agreed set of parameters that will be applied to collective agreement negotiations through to the end of the agreement. “Our people are our greatest asset,” said Airways board chair Denise Church, “and this MoU recognises and protects our Air Traffic Controllers and supports Airways’ strategic initiatives and our commitment to keeping the skies safe”.
