Although Qantas Airways has shifted its South American service from Buenos Aires to Santiago, home of its oneworld alliance member LAN, LAN says its relationship with the Australian carrier will continue and it is not seeking an exit from the oneworld alliance. The changes at Qantas has been made as part a drive to improve the performance of its international operations, which lost $216 million in 2011/12 and is likely to post a $450 million loss this financial year.
