A major runway renovation has commenced at Ostend-Bruges airport, necessitating the temporary closure of the facility while work on the Flemish Airport Development Company (LOM)- commissioned upgrade is carried out. “We are repairing damage that has occurred in recent years due to wear and addressing local subsidence,” explained Bruno de Saegher, chairman of LOM Flanders. The company confirmed that the airport would not be increasing its capacity as a work of the work being undertaken.
