Dublin Airport recorded 2.1 million passengers in January 2023, 2% above the previous record set in 2019 and more than double the number for the same month in 2022. Cork Airport in Ireland’s south, which is also operated by the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), reported 162,000 passengers in January 2023, 12% above the 2019 level and a 149% increase on January 2022. “The volume of people travelling through both Dublin and Cork airports during January shows the continued strong appetite that exists for overseas travel post-Covid,” said DAA chief executive Kenny Jacobs.
