Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) handled 3.1 million passengers recording 24 times increase over the April 2022 numbers. The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) published the air traffic figures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for April 2023. Flight movements more than doubled to 21,545, while cargo throughput declined by 7.7% to 347,000 tonnes as compared to April 2022. All passenger segments experienced significant growth in April, especially Hong Kong residents. Traffic to and from Southeast Asia, Mainland China, and Japan recorded the most significant increases.
