Spanish state airport operator Aena recorded a net profit of €901.5 million in 2022, a near-€1.5bn rebound from the €475 million loss reported for 2021. The return to profit should mean  the distribution of a gross dividend of €4.75 per share, Aena announced in a statement. The pay-out will be discussed at the operator’s upcoming annual general meeting on April 20,. The profit rebound came as traffic grew more than 100% compared to 2021, to over 240 million passengers, and was back to within almost 90% of pre-lockdown levels.
