Seattle-Tacoma International Airport had its busiest day ever on July 24, with a record-breaking 73,651 passengers going through TSA screening. The airport estimated that over 198,000 passengers departed, arrived, or connected on that day. The airport broke its previous TSA screening record of 72,154 from August 16, 2019. Interestingly July 24 was not a weekend or any special day, but a regular Monday in summer. However, it does coincide with school holidays and major events over the weekend like Taylor Swift’s visit and the Capitol Hill Block Party festival. The airport anticipates that this record will most likely be broken
