In 2022, John F. Kennedy International Airport’s recorded 55.3 million passengers, or 88% of its 2019 total, with Newark Liberty International Airport and LaGuardia Airport at 94% of 2019  with 43.5 million and 29.1 million respectively. 2019 was a record year for the airports, with 140.5 million passengers, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The total for the three airports in 2022 came to 128.1 million, or 91% of 2019. The three airports handled 11.5 million passengers in December 2022, 96% of the pre-pandemic December 2019 number and an increase on the 11.1 million recorded
