During the first quarter of 2023, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s commercial airports reported a record 32 million passengers. John F. Kennedy, Newark Liberty International, and LaGuardia airports combined “all-time record high” was an increase of nearly one million passengers compared to the same period in 2019. New first-quarter record highs were set at Newark and LaGuardia airports with 11.1 million and 7.2 million passengers, respectively, the  port authority reported, topping the previous first-quarter records  set in 2019, when 10.4 million Newark passengers and 6.7 million LaGuardia passengers were tallied.
