Boeing and Japan Airlines (JAL) have agreed a digital predictive maintenance solution that JAL helped to develop, along with extensive interior modifications for some of JAL’s 787 fleet.  Insight Accelerator aims to assist airlines with predictive maintenance and reduce unscheduled maintenance using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, to quickly identify indicators of degradation or malfunction. Boeing estimates that these capabilities can reduce unnecessary inspections by up to 85%.
