The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) has called upon the Nigerian Federal Government to act on rising air fares; an economy ticket in Nigeria costs $2000. Travel agents in Nigeria only sell up to 30% of international capacity from Nigeria and are taxed at 5% for tickets commencing from other nations, minimising their benefit in the sale.
