Ministry of Civil Aviation steps up efforts to reduce congestion at major Indian airports

The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation has taken up the issue of congestion at major airports in India and charted a list of measures to make air travel hassle free and smooth for passengers. One of the measures is the deployment of additional traffic marshals at the departure forecourt to ensure no vehicular congestion. Display boards have been put up at vantage points and entry gates that provides the passengers with real-time data on wait time. Awareness posters have been put up at entry gates, urging passengers to be ready with their air tickets, boarding passes, and identity proof documents.
