London Luton Airport authorities said a February 14 protest by environmentalists was “not causing any disruption” at the hub’s main terminal. The so-called “love in action” demonstration by Extinction Rebellion was being staged at the airport’s private jet terminal, with the activists targetting the use of private jets for St. Valentine’s Day dates by well-heeled lovebirds. “Flights and access to the [main] airport remain unaffected,” according to London Luton, which described the protest as “peaceful”.
