Seattle-based airframe producer Boeing has put pen to paper on deals to procure 5.6 million gallons of blended s0-called sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The fuel is to be produced by Neste, the world’s leading SAF supplier, and amounts to a doubling of the SAF bought by Boeing in 2022. “We are demonstrating our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and catalyse the SAF industry,” said Sheila Remes, Boeing’s vice president of environmental sustainability. The purchase agreements are for Neste MY SAF, which Boeing said is blended with conventional jet fuel at a 30/70 ratio and is made from 100% renewable
