Fleet Air has completed the sale and phase-out of its remaining Saab 340A(F) aircraft, marking what it calls ‘a strategic shift towards a more focused approach in its ATR freighter aircraft fleet’. The restructured fleet now comprises eight ATR72-202(F) aircraft, two of which are equipped with a large cargo door, alongside an additional two ATR 42-320(F) aircraft. The airline notes that as ‘as one of the few ATR operators globally with this unique feature,’ the large cargo door positions the airline ‘as an attractive solution for the short to medium haul freight ACMI and Charter market’.
