Australian regional airline Rex has moved its 737NG full flight simulator to Sydney, where it is ready for use following certification approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). The simulator was originally housed at Ansett Aviation Training (AAT) facilities in Brisbane before its lease expired in 2023. However, with AAT declining to extend the term, Rex instead began construction of its own purpose-built simulator centre in Mascot, Sydney.
