Southwest Airlines flight instructors have voted for a new contract offer, the carrier said on January 13. The deal, reached with the Transport Workers Union Local 557, means the carrier will “implement pay increases and quality of life enhancements” for its 200 instructors, according to Adam Carlisle, vice president Southwest Airlines. Meanwhile, 50 maintenance technicians, represented by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), have reached a “tentative agreement” with the airline.
