Ryanair is to add three “gamechanger” aircraft to its London Luton Airport (LLA)-based fleet. The deployment of the “more environmentally friendly” 737 8200 jets, “will reduce noise by 40% and CO2 emissions by 16% while delivering greater capacity to carry 4% more passengers per flight,” the Irish airline said. The announcement followed the airport’s recent addition of a new train link with central London, which it hopes will boost accessibility and in turn passenger traffic.
