Norwegian Group has posted positive results for its April traffic numbers with a 13% year-on-year (YoY) increase at a total of 2.2 million passengers. Norwegian had 1.9 million passengers for the month, while Wideroe had 315,495. “April marked a significant ramp up in capacity and we had on average 14 more aircraft in operation compared to the same month last year,” said Norwegian CEO Geir Karlsen. Norwegian’s capacity was up 18% YoY to 3.2bn available seat kilometres (ASKs), with its revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) up 14% to 2.5bn.
