Canadian charter airline Nolinor Aviation has revealed a new pay scale for its pilots, which it describes as a ‘bold initiative aimed at valuing and retaining talent within its team’. The new pay structure places the starting salary of a new 737 captain at $175,000, with a progression to over $250,000 at the highest level. The rise in salary will be complemented by an increase in rest days and a future review of the salary scale for first officers, all measures Nolinor hopes will help it navigate an industry-wide shortage of pilots.
