Jet Airways has confirmed that it has posted a net profit for the third quarter, which rose to 875.9 million rupees ($13.50 million) from 698.2 million rupees in the year-ago period. Due to the fall in fuel prices, expenses fell by almost a third during the quarter, while a surge in passenger traffic bolstered total income from operations by 10% to 52.6 billion rupees. Jet Airways expects to make a profit for the full year, the first time since 2007.
