Hainan Airlines is planning to resume flights to three international destinations, Rome, Auckland, and Brussels from its Shenzhen hub. The resumption of these routes is a part of the airline’s plan to make the city airport a global aviation hub. Hainan resumed the Shenzhen-Rome route on May 28, 2023 deploying its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking the airline’s fourth international route from Shenzhen airport. The roundtrip service will be twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. The other two routes, Shenzhen to Auckland and Shenzhen to Brussels, are set to begin next month., Hainan will resume service to Auckland with two roundtrip
