Lithuanian ACMI and charter airline GetJet Airlines has received Part 129 Operation Specification approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), allowing it to operate passenger flights to and from the United States. The approval took around five months to complete, notes the airlines, with numerous ‘rigorous checks and procedures’ required by the FAA, the Department of Transport (DOT) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). “We are now looking forward to exploring business opportunities in the North American market and expanding our state-of-the-art services to the new regions,” commented Rolands Ramins, CEO at GetJet Airlines Latvia.
