Today is the day: at 15.10 GMT the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup destinations will be decided. As you would expect the largest sporting event on the planet is always supported by home nation airlines right from the moment of the bid. Expect shares in British Airways to go up sharply if England win the 2018 bid, likewise if Spain is successful then Iberia’s shares will rise. Keep an eye on this.
