A 757 passenger aircraft operated by Delta Air Lines has suffered the loss of a nose wheel tyre while preparing for takeoff at Atlanta International Airport. According to a preliminary Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) accident and incident notification report, Delta Air Lines Flight DAL982 (registered as N672DL) was lining up for takeoff when the ‘nose wheel came off and rolled down the hill’.
