China air passenger numbers up 252% in October

The Civil Aviation Administration of China has published figures highlighting a rise in air transportation. Figures from the Chinese aviation regular showed a rise in 252% of passengers in October 2023 compared to a year earlier, reaching 56 million people. So far this year, the accumulated transportation number has topped 520 million people so far this year. Previous information from IATA (released in September 2023) indicated that although growth momentum in China’s domestic traffic is now tapering off, ASKs remained 17.6% higher than in 2019.
