Carpatair is to restructure under bankruptcy protection. The Romanian regional airline has blamed the €30 million in legal damages it has been charged for alleged anticompetitive practices at Timisoara Airport, currently under investigated by the European Commission, local courts and authorities. Operations will continue during the restructuring process, with a restricted winter season schedule.
