Aer Lingus recently took delivery of its third A320neo, named St Fearghal with fresh cabin design and seats. Airbus claims that the A320neo has low noise impact with its LEAP-1A engines, allowing Aer Lingus to benefit from cheaper landing fees at Heathrow Airport. This aircraft has come to Aer Lingus from order book with Airbus while the other two are leased from CBD Aviation. Aer Lingus took delivery of its first A320neo in August 2022 and began commercial operations on the aircraft in October 2022. The airline operated both its A320neos on the Shannon/Dublin to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) routes
