35-hour strike action impacts Lufthansa operations

Trade union Verdi has called on ground staff at Lufthansa, Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Cargo and other companies to take strike action between February 19-21, severely impacting operations across German airports. Lufthansa estimates that only around 10-20% of scheduled passenger services will be operated, particularly on February 20, with affected customers to be notified via email or the Lufthansa app. Passengers with cancelled domestic flights can also exchange their flight for a rail ticket with Deutsche Bahn free of charge, valid on the day of issue and the following day.
