Rex commences Melbourne-Hobart route

Rex recently operated its first flight connecting Melbourne to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. The airline deployed its B737-800NG on the route, adding a capacity of 128,000 seats annually between Melbourne and Hobart. Expressing enthusiasm on the new route, Jeremy Rockliff, tourism minister, Tasmania said: “This development is a testament to the resilience and rebound of Tasmania’s tourism industry from the challenges posed by the pandemic.
