PEMCO World Air Services appoints Pastor Lopez as CEO

As part of its internal corporate restructuring in an effort to improve operational efficiencies, PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO) has appointed Pastor Lopez as CEO of the Tampa, Florida-based aviation company. Bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience, Lopez is responsible for the growth and sustainability of PEMCO’s leading maintenance and conversion operations.

“Joining a company with such a rich tradition and one that is probably more successful than at any time in its history is a great challenge and the opportunity to take PEMCO to the next stage is one that I am truly looking forward to. We have great people and both our MRO and conversion services are industry-leaders. Watch this space as we drive strategic initiatives to develop and support long-term growth, profitability and operational influence,” stated Pastor Lopez, CEO.

Lopez joins PEMCO with a multitude of aviation experience having held a number of leadership positions ranging from engineering to product development and quality control. Most recently, Lopez served as Vice President of AAR Aircraft Component and Landing Gears overseeing the Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Miami and New York business units. In this role, Lopez was responsible for driving strategic initiatives to develop and support long-term growth, profitability and operational excellence. Previously, Lopez was Vice President and General Manager of AAR Landing Gear Services, managing over 380 employees in the Miami and Malaysian facilities.

“Pastor is very well regarded and has a track record of developing successful, profitable operations that customers appreciate and employees respect,” said George Fedeanis, director of sales. “At PEMCO we strive to not only provide our customers and partners superlative performance and a customer-centric orientation, but also ensure our employees are a part of team where their contributions are appreciated and their environment is safe and productive. Pastor will prove tremendous support as we continue to deliver on these expectations. I think the industry is going to be impressed in our future achievements.”
