An Air India co-pilot terrified passengers when he accidentally sent the 737 aircraft into a nosedive after hitting the control column while adjusting his seat. The incident onboard the flight from Dubai to Pune in May was just reported by the Indian civil aviation authority. The captain was in the bathroom at the time and subsequently locked out of the cockpit. He was able to escape the toilet using an emergency code to unlock the door and manage to take the controls back from the co-pilot. As the aircraft nosedived, cabin crew told 113 terrified passengers to fasten their seat
