London Stansted marks decade of ownership by Manchester Airports Group

London Stansted said it has become the UK’s main entry point to Europe in the ten years since it was acquired by Manchester Airports Group (MAG) for £1.5bn. Since then, “millions of pounds have been invested in revamping facilities, Jet2 and Emirates have been added to its list of carriers, and it has grown to become the UK’s number one gateway to Europe,” the airport’s management said in a February 28 statement marking the anniversary. During the decade, over 1.3 million flights landed at or flew off from the airport, carrying over 200 million passengers, while Air Force One, carrying
