Taking a step towards sustainability, Cologne Bonn Airport has switched to Neste MY Renewable Diesel in its diesel-powered ground fleet, including airport’s fire trucks that are not easy to electrify. By switching to Neste MY Renewable Diesel the airport will save almost 3,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) annually compared to the use of fossil diesel and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by almost 90% as compared to fossil diesel. “The use of renewable fuel is another important building block and a very important addition to our concept for climate-friendly mobility,” said Thilo Schmid, chief executive, Cologne Bonn Airport GmbH.
