Spanish airport operator Aena has put out to tender the private security service operations for its 46 airports and 2 heliports in Spain. The €1.5bn contract is to be for four years, extendable for a year, and has been split into 13 lots covering different airports or groups of airports. “Companies will have to adapt to the technological changes that Aena will implement in security controls in the coming years,” the company said, giving applicants 30 days to send submissions.
