Melbourne Airport sees 16% passenger increase in January

Melbourne Airport has seen passenger numbers rise 16% from 2.7 million in January 2023 to 3.1 million in January 2024. International passenger traffic significantly increased by 32%, from just over 800 thousand to over one million customers. Domestic numbers were still strong at two million in January 2024, up 9% from 1.89 million year-on-year. The strong international passenger increase has no doubt been boosted since flights to mainland China resumed last year.
