AirAsia India, which is a joint venture between AirAsia Bhd and Tata Sons, will take delivery of its seventh A320 by September when it will also add a new route to Hyderabad into its network. AirAsia India’s Chief Executive Amar Abrol, has further indicated that the airline intends to increase its fleet to 20 and pursue plans to launch international services in the future. Under new rules, AirAsia will be able to fly overseas so long as it has 20 aircraft or 20% of capacity in India, whichever is higher.
