Corporación América Airports’ (CAAP) passenger traffic grew 29.8% year-on-year across its six countries of operation. The rise took the company to over 95% of pre-pandemic traffic and was driven by “the ongoing recovery in travel demand after the Covid-19 pandemic and the gradual resumption of routes and frequencies across all countries of operations”. Argentinian traffic was up over 30% year-on-year t0 almost 98% of 2019, with Italy up over 25% to more than 98% of pre-pandemic traffic. Traffic at CAAP’s Brazil airports hit almost 90% of 2019, with Uruguay at 90.6%. Ecuador and Armenai exceeded pre-Covid levels, the company reported.
