Vertical Aerospace nears completion of second prototype

Vertical Aerospace, designer of the VX4 eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing craft), has confirmed its ambition to display its second prototype aircraft during this year’s upcoming Farnborough airshow. The second ‘much-improved next generation VX4 prototype’ will feature 70% new components including more advanced propellers, proprietary battery technology and the incorporation of significant industry partners’ technology. Vertical state that it expects to complete final assembly of the second craft ‘in the coming weeks,’ with the intention of completing a second new prototype by the end of the year.
