Japanese eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft developer SkyDrive has commenced production of its SKYDRIVE SD-05 craft at Suzuki’s facility in Shizuoka, Japan. “Partnering with Suzuki, a renowned automotive manufacturer, is a momentous occasion for SkyDrive,” said Tomohiro Fukuzawa, CEO of SkyDrive. “We share a goal of quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, making them an ideal partner in our quest to revolutionize urban air mobility”. SkyDrive plans to demonstrate its aircraft, which is currently in the process of acquiring its Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) certification, at the upcoming Expo 2025 in Osaka.
