Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson has warned that there is a “huge bubble in excess widebody airplanes around the world”, which are coming off lease that is creating some buying opportunities. Anderson was answering an analysts question regarding rumours that Delta is considering purchases some 777s from Singapore Airlines that are coming off lease or being retired. Anderson said that the aircraft market would be ” ripe for Delta over the course of the next 12-36 months.”
