Collins Aerospace announces backing for aerospace tech SMEs

Collins Aerospace has launched a “Powered by Collins” initiative to fund and promote innovation in “deep tech” small- to medium-sized enterprises (SME) working in the aerospace industry. “We’re establishing a clear channel for engagement between deep tech and one of the world’s leading aerospace companies. We welcome collaborators that share our passion for pushing the envelope—whether they’re within, adjacent to, or outside the aerospace industry, ” said Mary Lombardo, Collins’ vice president, advanced technology. Any business with at least three full-time workers can apply to join the initiative, which at first will focus on high-performance batteries, autonomy for small unmanned aircraft
