Boeing has opened a research and technology centre in Nagoya, Japan, aiming to develop sustainable technologies focusing on digital simulation toolsets, composites, sustainable aviation fuel and hydrogen. Recognising Japan for its “strength and engineering and technology,” Boeing chief technology officer Todd Citron added: “We look forward to originating research in Nagoya that will benefit Japan and the world.” The country currently has Boeing’s larger supplier base outside the US.
